Foodies 1.0.1

Foodies?
I don’t mean to sound overly enthusiastic, but I have to say I liked everything about this app. This is one of the most entertaining games I have come across lately.
The first thing I liked about the game is the story, which goes something like this: the orange and funky looking Snacky Sam loves the pink and funky looking as well Miss Pam. He loves her so much that he wants to marry her (ah, isn’t that sweet?). But the thing is that Miss Pam likes chubbier boys, and Snacky Sam, isn’t as chubby as Miss Pam would like him to be. Snacky Sam is determined to do whatever it takes to marry Miss Pam, so he says that in one week he will be as chubby as Miss Pam wants him to be.
After this cutesy introduction, the game begins - I really liked the gameplay. You have to bounce Snacky Sam around and get him to eat the treats in a fashion similar to break out games: you hold two fingers on the screen so that they create a pad, and you use the pad to bounce Snacky Sam about. I am a fan of breakout games and I have to say I really liked this approach. I also liked that there are a lot of levels to play through (4 packs with 80 levels).
Last but not least, I liked that from an audiovisual point of view, this game is amazing. The graphics are colorful and quite good looking. With so much focus being put on food, the graphics give new meaning to the term “eye candy”. The sound effects are quite nice as well.
So to sum it up, this is a very good looking game that puts the emphasis on food; you have to bounce Snacky Sam around and get him to eat all sorts of goodies so that he can put on some weight and marry Miss Pam. It is an extraordinarily entertaining gastronomic adventure!
